Ryan Payne Media

I’m Ryan Payne, a Sports Media Professional with a number of years experience across professional football, as well as the NHS.

I specialise in editorial writing, interviewing, and social media management, but have further experiences in public relations, communications, and digital strategy.

After graduating with a 2:1 in BA (Hons) Sports Journalism from the University of Gloucestershire in 2019, I have gone onto gain a lot of experience within the media industry.

For over three-and-a-half years, I was part of the media and communications team at Norwich City. I initially joined in October 2022 as Club Journalist, before progressing into the role of Club Journalist and Programme Editor in June 2025.

I have further experience across English football, as well as in the United States. My experience at other clubs and outlets include Aston Villa, Bristol City, Crewe Alexandra, Charlton Athletic, Hull City, Luton Town, Millwall, North Carolina FC/NC Courage, Tranmere Rovers, Scunthorpe United, Rotherham United, and AFC Rushden & Diamonds, as well as Northants Telegraph and GiveMeSport.

I’m now looking for my next opportunity – whether that is full-time, part-time, or on a freelance basis.
